You're a white rose
I wrote this inspired by a friends love story.
A girl who loved
A girl who battled with herself
Her insecurities
Her integrity
Her life
Dealing with the day to day battles of what life has to offer
You're a white rose, a heart ignorant of love.
As I sit here and listen to you speak
I realized that I'm in the mist of your presence
You talk about your break up
And how nasty it got
that you started to question your life and what you want
You want a relationship based on faith
Based on trust
The all American want
With a marriage that lasts
The big house
And that white Pickett fence
You then realize that love is battlefield
A battle you've been dealing with all your life
But the thing is...
He cheated
He lied
He let go
He cheated
He lied
He let go
He cheated
He lied
He let go
And while he let go
you sat there hurting
With tears running down your face
You were alone
Going back to old habits
Habits that abused your identity
Habits that deemed into your insecurities
You're a white rose
A heart ignorant of love
As he cheated
He lied
He let go
An epiphany erupted
he didn't let go
You do it again
You said it would end
But you wanted that heart that can soon be mend.
You loved so hard
you start to become weak
You became elusive to you're surroundings
You had no where to go
You have no one to turn to
So you turned to yourself
As you listened to yourself
And because in your heart you loved him
You started to miss him
So You went back to him
You looked passed the cheating
You looked the lying
And you prayed he never let go
You knew you wanted love
His love which
This is a story about girl who loved
A girl who battled with herself
Her integrity
Her insecurities
Her life
And although
He cheated
He lied
He let go
You forgave him as much as you wanted
Because You're a white rose.
A heart ignorant of love.
